tuning help
I am shooting a Diamond Rock at 62lbs. I am having a hell of a time getting my new xx78s to fly worth a darn. I have been practicing with xx75s in a 2315 this summer and shooting great. Down to 2 arrows so I bought a new dozen of the xx78s in 2312 because that is all they had and the guy at the shop said it would be similar.
I was getting great groups with the old arrows but I cant get new ones to fly straight. The arrows seem to be leaning left at impact and very erractic. Any suggestions or fixes? Thanks |
RE: tuning help
Lower draw wieght or lower tip weight, your arrows are too weak now.

RE: tuning help
I agree, those are way underspined, especially for broadheads and too soft for hunting anyway. That guy just sold you what he had instead of telling you to go elsewhere and get what you NEED.

RE: tuning help
Yeah, I agree with what everyone else has already said about your current shafts.I would get someCarbons, perhapsGoldtips or Carbon Express. Personally, I love the CE's, they're one heck of a shaft, but I know a lot people who swear by the Goldtips.

RE: tuning help
XX78's are a great arrow if they're spined right for your bow, which those weren't. If you get them in the 2315's or 2512's you'd be set but going from a 2315 to a 2312 isn't even close to "similar". You need to re-evaluate your relationship with that shop.

RE: tuning help
Another agreement 2312's are a limp noodle compared to 2315's , I shot aluminum for years , never did like the thin walled shafts , they bend just looking at um
