Restringing

I've heard you are suppose to restring bows. How often should you restring a compound bow?

RE: Restringing

When I was shooting compounds it was atleast once a year.

But I did shoot a lot of arrows not only practice but competitions.

For the average Joe who does not shoot a lot then every 2 years on a good string and cable/s.

Factory string and cable I changed out as soon asI got the bow or as soon as Bucknasty could get the new string to me.

Got a set of strings and cables from America's Best Bowstrings on order for my PSE X-Force TS. Hope it's worth the money, as this is my first set of "custom" strings. Was tempted to buy either Winner's Choice or Barracuda, but PSE recommended the ABB, as this is what they're using on their "high end" bows (How in the hell a $700 bare bow isn't 'top end' is beyond me).
