Default Pronghorn on rest

After I replace my pronghorn covers with new ones, I can notice wear after about ten shots. Is this normal or do I need to adjust the clearance between the prongs? The bow shoots fine, I can shoot 20,30,40,50 yds and hold tight groups so I hate to adjust anything unless I have to. If it makes any difference I am shooting carbon arrows, and I do not know who makes the rest. I bought this bow second-hand but it was hardly used at all and it is a PSC Nova so I assume it is the rest that came with it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
