Have you tried increasing the internal spring tension so the arm drops faster?

How do you do that on a QAD Big? Is there an adjustment someplace or do you have to take the whole apparatusapart? Never heard of anyone doing it that way.... educate me please!

On the right side of the rest (right handed) there is a roll pin holding the thumb lever / cap on below where the string passes through the cap. Push out that roll pin and the thumb lever / cap can be removed. You have to rotate it one way or the other to get it to unlock. This will expose the spring inside. You will see numerous holes for the spring to sit in. Simply place the end of the spring in another hole and reassemble.

If this sounds confusing call QAD and they will email instruction on how to do this. It's pretty easy to do.

I had the same problem with mine. Turned out I was dropping my arm when I was shooting causing contact.
maybe thats what i am doing. It doesnt hit all the time from what i see. But I have a contact line from the base of the launcher up to the felt stuff on it. Its not directly center, but slightly off to the left of center on the face.

Thanks BIG. I'm about to try that very thing right now. I didn't know the spring tension was adjustable and the QAD rep didn't mention it. There is hope yet!!

IT WORKED!!!
It took me several minutes to get everything re-seated, but other than that it was an easy fix. I pre-loaded the spring approx 180 degrees and haven't had fletching interference since.
Bigbulls, thanks again for the heads up.
