I had this setup on the Pat DC that I had. It worked flawlessly even with the low level of recoil that the bow exhibited.

For what it is worth, I just noticed that there is a new version of the Trapdoor now available. It is supposedly built for low-recoil level bows. I would be curious to see which model you purchased.
