How common is this?
I have seen plenty of pictures of "robin hood" shots. Busted plenty of nocks and tore up fletching in my years of shooting. Just recently i shot a "robin hood". How common is this really?2007 Matthews Drenalin & Easton Epic 400 shafts. Pic-to comply with man-law.

A true robin hood (bulls eye splitting a bulls eye)... Not very common at all.
Accidentally splitting an arrow while shooting groups..... happens quite often. I aint bustin on ya cause I have never had a true Robin hood either but I have split a few arrows. |
RE: How common is this?
Yup did it with my Easton Axis ST's last year. Didnt think it was possible but it is.

RE: How common is this?
Mine is a FP shot. All of one penetrated the other except about 3 " my arrow length is 29" and I have a 32 1/2" arrow to show off now. I used to see alot of alluminum arrows proudly displayed at my local shops, but later found out that if you pummel a target with arrows and leave them there for several rounds sooner or later you"ll get one. But carbon appears to be a bit tricky in that if you are slightly off center it"ll bust the nock, split the shaft at the nock. Not trying to brag but mine was a 30 yrd. shot at a Delta deer trgt. and was shot one and two for the day! I was lucky in several instances, cheaper arrows than now, first time so its neat, and the odds are stacked aginst me ever doing it again are tremendous :D ! ! ! ! !

RE: How common is this?
Bullseye split with another bullseye, I've done it, not the EXACT center but all 5 shots inside the X ring at 20 yards.
![]() Now what would be really impressive is 3 arrows stacked together....split the first with the second, then the second with the third. [8D] |

I have never had a true Robin hood either but I have split a few arrows. |
