should I change vanes?
I had blazer vanes equipped on my new arrows because I was using a whisker biscuit. Now that I have changed to a fall-away rest, should I go with a vane system that produces a little more spin?

Not unless there is positive proof of vane contact.
Or, you just want to try new vanes. |
RE: should I change vanes?
I too used a WB along with 4" vanes on my arrows. I switched to the blazers with the WB and last month I switched to the Ripcord drop away and left my blazers on. I am very pleased with the results I am getting with the Blazers along with my drop away rest. 2" groups at 30 yards is very good for me and the way I see it "if it aint broke, don't fix it". I have convinced 3 of my fellow hunting buddies to switch to the blazers and they all shoot drop aways and they are happy with the switch. My broadheads (100 gr. G5 Strkiers) are dead on with my field points, so unless something very unusual starts happening with my arrow flight I will not be going back to 4" vanes anytime soon.
