help with my rest

I just got my General and I noticed that my ripcord rest doesn't lay flat when its in the down position! When I shoot it its making a terrible smacking noise when it hits my riser! I wondering if anyone else has this issue with there ripcord rest or any other drop away rest?

Put a little moleskin on the riser where it contacts and/or raise the rest up a touch.

Thanks...How far up can I raise my rest? When I look at it its directly over the holes which is where I thought it was supposed to be.

Yep, the arrow shaft should cross through the center of the Berger holes as viewed from the side. You can go a touch high of that but it's a good starting point.

Sims makes a pretty good drop pad for this. It helped the noise on my ripcord with my Allegiance. For a few bucks, it was more quiet than the moleskin I used previous.

I had the same problem with my General I put a strip of Sims where it hit and it was still much to loud. The bow is so quiet you can hear the rest slap the Sims pad and it make more noise the the bow. so I returned the rest and now, today I'm installing a Trophy Taker with the guard around it.
