resting the finger on the trigger
 
i was shooting last night with my cuz(new to archery), and for some reason he wasent consistant with hitting that target every time, some times he couldent even hit the paper,so i was watching him and i realized he couldentrest his finger on the trigger with out pulling it??? and tips or suggestions???

Try a back tension release, could help.

If his release is adjustable, try turning the weight uplike adjusting the pull on a rifle. If you turn the screw counter clockwise, it should add weight. I had to decrease the weight on mine just a few days ago.

It's not that he can't control triggering the release but just that he won't.

Take the sights off of his bow and make him shoot at a blind target and concentrate only on squeezing the trigger and follow through.
