speed and b-heads

Well I'm planning on getting a Black Ice next year hopefully, but still don't know if i should go with fixed or mech. Specially cause i've heard stuff about speed limits for fixed blades and anything faster is for the mechanicals. Is that just hype, because i would prefer fixed, but it isn't really a big deal... thanks

Depending on your draw lenth andintended arrow weight I have no Idea what speeds your expecing out of your Black Ice but mine tunes to fixed heads just fine....I am sure yours will too as long as it is tuned correctly....

If the bow is tuned and you use the correct type and amount of fletching fixed blade heads will fly at any speed. There are also several fixed heads that will fly like field points under most conditions, so you have a lot of options other than mechanical heads. You can also check out my website www.broadheadtests.com for some more info. Read through the fixed vs mech and bow tuning sectections.

I am shooting 310fps with my setup and using NAP Crossfire Broadheads with no issues.

G5 Strikers well over 300 with my X-Force, so far no problems.
