High points:

Well made

Fast

Accurate

Low points:

Stiff draw cycle

Short Valley

Well i wish i could tell you how nice they shoot, but i cant. I made the mistake of buying a 29 inch draw. And they said the new modules would be in any day now, so stupid me i bought it. That was over a month ago. I have about reached my point, and this bow might be sold soon. I hope your patriot search goes better than mine did. Good luck........fishon

I have a 28" 70 lb. model and love it! I shot several top competitors models before I bought the Patriot. I really liked the Patriots smoothness, speed, adjustablity, low recoil and vibration. Now I' m thinking a bout a second bow. Everything I shoot brings me back to a second Patriot. Don' t get me wrong......there are alot of great hunting bows on the market........the Patriot is definetly one of them!

Good Luck!!

RE: WANT A PATRIOT

I don' t own a Patriot, as I picked a MightyMite over it, but, that was purely becasue I don' t like the feel of the long riser bows. I did shoot two different Patriots though. Both were 03 single cams. They are by far the quiestest and smost shock free bows that I have ever had in my hands, and I have had alot of bows in these hands. The draw cycle is a little rough(in comparison to the Hoyt cam and a half systems), but, still what I would consider smooth. I swear, the bow never moved when I shot it, and BOY was it QUIET! It is so forgiving, especially when you consider that it is in the lightweight/short a.t.a. class. It is probablly the best balanced bow when it comes to shootability/speed/forgiveness. The bow itself isn' t the most balanced bow I have felt, but, the problem can be solved with a rear mounted doinker stabilizer.

Also, a tip I can give to you is if you buy it, back the let-off peg a TINY bit. This will help even out the valley a bit, and make it a little bit bigger.

Is the bow a single cam or dual cam?

What draw length modules are you looking for?

Who told you the new modules would be in any day now, the shop or BowTech?

Regards, Pat

RE: WANT A PATRIOT

I have a 2002 BT Patriot SC - 70#, 27" draw.

For hunting this is ONE AWESOME BOW - it' s a tad short but still way accurate. With 2 sims modular stabilizer donuts on the ' back' of the riser I can hold this thing on a single whitetail hair at any yardage.

It' s fast & quiet & smooth & most important ACCURATE.

The bad - for me - is that the balance is off for competition 3D shooting. I shoot the bowhunter class & weight on the rear of the riser is not allowed - so adding a stabilizer to the front just seems to make things worse...

THIS IS THE FINEST HUNTING BOW I' VE EVER OWNED!!!!
