OnTarget2 users question

I have OnTarget2 and have used it in the past to help select my shaft spine. I have noticed that the although close, it is not perfect. I certainly don't expect it to be perfect, so I have no issues with that. The question I have concerns the "shaft length" property. Does the shaft length they are referring to include the nock, or just the shaft itself?

RE: OnTarget2 users question

If you lay your cursor on the shaft length,it says to use shaft material only, meaning no nock added.

Thanks! You'd think they would put that in the Help file. At least that's where I went to look.

From the OT2 helpfile:

Shaft Length
length of just the arrow shaft (shaft material only)

I found it. It was under the help for the Equipment tab. This is all that shows up in the help for the Spine Match tab:

Shaft Frame
Shaft Length - shaft length of the arrow

And then the equipment tab:

Shaft Frame
Shaft Model - model or type of arrow (ACC, ACE, etc.)
Shaft Size - size descriptor of the arrow (3-18, 2216, etc)
Shaft Per Inch - shaft weight per inch
Shaft Length - length of just the arrow shaft (shaft material only)
Shaft Diameter - outside diameter of shaft material
Shaft Spine - the manufacturer's static spine rating for the shaft

I guess I should have spent a little more time reading!
