Draw Length HELP

Ok I own a 1999 Hoyt Magnatec redline HL, Well I was doing some research and found this"
http://www.hoyt.com/customer_service/hoyt_tune_charts.php?page=99_magnatec.php

For the redline HL with 93 string length and 34 buss cable the max draw I can have is 27.
I looked at my bow and on the cam highest number is 3 which is 27.
My damn draw length is 29 and all these years ive been way off. I actually had him shorten it 2 years ago
because I thought it was to long but it turns out not even close. (Pro Shop)
Am I correct by reading the link above?

RE: Draw Length HELP

It shows 28 inches is the longest DL you can have with those strings and cables.... Are you sure your bow only has 3 pegs rather than 4 to adjust your DL? Either way even if it did, if your DL is 29 it is still an inch short.

It was very obvious as we talked about at the GTG that your DL was way short....

RE: Draw Length HELP

Tony if I read your post right and the link provide right you saying 3 is 27" draw but I read the link as 3 is for 29, 30 or 31 depending on your module.

Are you saying your a 27" draw or the bow is a 27" draw you it should be a 29" to fit you?

RE: Draw Length HELP

I am 29 DL but my cam is set at #3 and that link show #3 as 27. I dont see a #4 on my bow.
Rob I am not sure how you see it as 29, 30, or 31?
Yeah buckeye that is why I started investigating and I do thank you much.

LOL Its all good buddy.
Now I have bow in hand and on one side of the cam labeled redline the string is looped around 1.
If I turn the bow over its looped around 3 all the same peg.
I am going to try and post a pic, brb

RE: Draw Length HELP

Did you try to measure to see what the actual draw length of the bow is?

Regardless of charts, etc. It is what it is!;)

RE: Draw Length HELP

She can get a close measurement while you are at full draw if she is pretty handy with a tape. Measure anchored string to throat of grip and add 1.75"

RE: Draw Length HELP

According to the wife it was 25 5/8 from the grip *see pic* to the string. I do use a D loop which is 5/8 from the string.
So it comes out to 26 1/4.[:@] I am going to the shop today to nip this.

RE: Draw Length HELP

Tony what DL did they measure you at?The loop will only give you a further back anchor point it will not change your DL.Seeing that you are taller than me I would say you probably need to be 29-30".I am still checking on the mods for you but I know he will need to know what DL you actually need.

RE: Draw Length HELP

It was at 27, when I measure my wing span I am at 28.8. The shop got it up to 28
