Easy Pull Point Issue

So I switched over to easy pull targey points for my ACC 3-49s. I had my local "pro" shop order them while he was refletching. I came back today since my arrows were done and my points were in. Upon screwing them in, I noticed the body of the point is a larger diameter than my arrow shaft, creating a lip where the base of the point body meets the insert. The owner thought this was odd, but said to try them out. So I came home and started shooting. The arrows fly fine, but they don't come out of my Morrell bag at all! I had to really yank, and pull hard. Two of my inserts came completely out. I'm assuming it's due to the large diameter body, am I correct? I should have just ordered the points myself. I see I need RPS 9/32" points to match my ACCs, but these points are PDP EP21-100s. Any thoughts?

I have found all the easy pull points where the body is larger than the shaft ( where body meets shaft) are a pain in the butt to pull from bag targets, but they are designed for 3d targets and in those they work fine.

If you think you need smaller body ones take them back to the shop and tell him the ones he should have ordered and exchange them.

That's the plan. I didn't think the inserts would pop out that easily, either.

Where they put in with 24hr epoxy or hot melt glue?

If thats the case then I highly doubt they used 24hr epoxy;)

Make em as fast as you can and get em out the door[8D]

Hey troll what about using JB liquid steel for inserts? It wouldn't have adverse effects would it?

What about just using hot melt glue for inserts in ACC's?
It has been working since the invention of the aluminum arrow.
Why in the world would any one use JB Weld for inserts?

Usually when problems happed with aluminum arrows and inserts it is the super glues that have been used.

Is theshoulder of the point the same diameter of the insert and then tapers out to a larger diameter like this

or is theshoulder justbigger than the insert period?

If it's just bigger then they are the wrong size and you just need to one size smaller and they will pull out of bags just fine. He probably ordered you 5/16ths which is what a standard carbon arrow like a Gold tip or BemanICSuses.

There's no taper, the shoulder is larger than the shaft. The package/part number indicates it's for 9/32" AND 5/16"...weird. I think you're dead on, though. It's probably the wrong size...I searched part numbers, but couldn't come up with anything.
