What press will work with the 82nd and the General?
Bowmender portable press with split limb adaptors. You ahve to careful not to press too much on the general as its beyond parrellel and the split limb adaptors might slip off. But for adding a peep or twisting a cable, you only will press very little.

Hey BigCountry, would you be able to change a string or mods with that press? What about the Omni with the adapters?

I know I wouldn't use the omni with a general, guardian or any center pivot bow. And would be shocked if bowtech would recommend that. That guy out in MT won't be helping replace your bow, when you break something. As mentioned above, yes, I would replace a string with a port press as long as it has the adaptors.

Your contact huh! :D

Its your bow. Good luck.

Now just got to make a mental note not to buy any used bows from hmthrfan.

Well, if you make sure to pushing on or above the limb where the cam is, I see no harm in the omni. Unless you press to much and the limbs slip out. Do you lay the bow riser on top of the riser rods (whatever you call em) or below like a older deflex bow?

RE: General and Bow Press

I have wraped the Rods that are for the riser so that it fits snug in the "y" of the riser, it holds the riser steady but with no strain on the riser on those points when pressed, just the limbs. works really well.

hmthtrfan, do you have a picture of your bow in the press. Having a hard time visualizing exactly what your saying.
Thanks
