QAD on a 82nd

ok, I shot my airborne yesterday for the first time and I was impressed.....
I upped my average scores with 10 points the second time I shot 30 rounds.
What I noticed is a loud click when shooting. I thought it would be the QAD rest hitting the riser but when I release the rest without and arrow the noise is far less obvious.
I thightened all screws on the mods today and the ones in the pivot of the riser.
And I raised the QAD rest a little and glued a little layer of foam where the V of the QAD hits the riser.
I'll know tomorrow when I shoot the 82nd if that helped.
In the meantime, anyone who has had this problem, tell me if there could be other points to look at...

thx

Frank

Hi guys. I just bought an 07 allegiance. I have been hearing about some issues where if you attach the string to the downbus cables it is causing the cams to jump timing. Have you experieced anything liike that ?

It is true that using a rest where you attaching to a cable does affect the timing on the bowtech binaries. That is why even bowtech recommends the limb driver as it attaches to the limb. If you require further explanation you can find it on Archery Talk.

Yep. I couldn't get the QAD to work on my BowTech Old Glory because of that very problem but it works great on my Hoyt UltraTec. I went to the WB on the Old Glory and haven't had a problem with it since.

I have the Qad LD/HD on my 101st and haven't had any issue's and not experienced any change in timing ,but I have "heard" where if the Qad isn't attached to the down cable correctly, it will effect your let off . Your launcher arm shouldn't come to the top till the last 1" of draw if it flip's up when you first begin your draw ,your letoff and I'm sure your timing will all be effected.

Nubo,

I made sure I put the cableclamp on with as less tension at full draw. I installed the rest clamped the cord to the downward cable and drew back so that the launcher was at 90 degrees. I repeated this but moved the clamp a little higher everytime 1/10".
I can draw back now without having almost any tension on my cables and it shoots great.............
