please help me with noise
guys, when i shot my bow this evening, it started to make a rattling noise, and vibrated a little more on the handle. so i stopped shooting and tightened everything that i possibly could. then i shot again, yet it still made the noise? do you guys have any suggestions on what else i can check?
thanks in advance |
RE: please help me with noise
Make sure your draw modules are tight. Those things are NOTORIOUS for coming loose, and rattling.

I've had good luck plucking the string like a guitar and listening. If you can, move the string suppressors out of the way first.

RE: please help me with noise
Rory,
I just assumed you were talking about your Truth 2 which has those two STS type suppresors. Just gently pluck the string while putting an ear close to the bow, whatever screw is loose should make a buzzing sound. It's amazing how much noise a loose screw can make when you shoot. Good luck...Mike |

ok thanks, ill try tightening everything again

Some times you don't even have to pluck the string. Just wrap the side of the riser with the palm of your hand and listen.
