Elite's New Cam System

Elite's new cam system is a two track Binary system. According toElite 0 cam lean. Lets try to keep this civil, what do you guys think of the two track Binary System?

I'd have to see it and shootfirst. I assume this will be on their new 2009 bows?

As a shop manager that has to set up bows and keep inventory I hate draw length specific cams. My bow inventory with draw length specific bows is 5 times what it needs to be.

As a shooterI wouldn't have a draw length specific cam that I couldn't fine tune, hopefully there is at least a half inch of adjustment of some kind built into the cam system.

Agreed. Why do manufacturers do this? I have to come to the conclusion that they are interested in selling more stuff, not satisfying customers the first time around. For years we've been told to hold our breath for the latest cam system that's supposedly light years ahead of the past ones, and then they don't even have draw length adjustability. You can't tell me we're not going backward. I'm not picking on Elite here; all the manufacturers do it.

RE: Elite's New Cam System

Elite says they will make it easy on dealer's to change DL. They will provide the dealers w/ enough cams to make the changes.
Agreat advantage of this camis that they can be fine tuned to allow for DL requirements in the 1/8" to 1/4" range and still tune properly. All binarys have this capability if you know how to do it.
DL's are running 1/8" short in most cases. In other words, a 28" DL will MEASURE 27 7/8", so keep that in mind.
Cams are availiblein 1/2" incriments.

Yeah, that's easy.[&:]

We only would have to press the bow, remove the strings and cables, remove the axles, remove the cams, and then put it all back together and readjust the strings.

Quick and easy.[&:]

For her to agree, he had to get her passed out drunk ...so she isn't sure how she felt about it...or that it even happened :D
