Ideal arrow weight and FOC for deer????

For hunting deer, what is the ideal arrow weight and FOC so that speed and stability are maintained and work together to generate good KE and overall arrow flight?

I keep thinking a400 Grain arrow with 12% FOC. I dont know if I read this somewhere or heard if from someone but I would like to get some input from others.

I think 400 at 12% sounds fine. This is a highly individual thing...almost like 270 vs 45-70 for cartridge debates.

I'm shooting 435 at 11.5% I'd like to go higher of FOC but I'm already using 125gr heads and as short an arrow as possible. Gonna do some tests on waterproofing feather to try and bump FOC up.

400-ish at >11% is commonly deemed "good";)

Weight 5-6 grain per pound or more is good for Whitetails. I prefer an FOC at a minimum of 12%. More is better;)

I like 600gr arrow with 18-20% FOC kicking at a whole 190fps.

Between 350 and 450 grn weight with FOC of 10-15%, traveling as fast as possible.

Nothing Trad about this setup for my Bowtech Old Glory
65lbs with 453 grn arrows with a FOC of 22% (205 grains up front on that arrow fellas) shooting at just below 260FPS with Kinetic energy of 67 ft lbs.

And this coming season Im going up in arrow weight to the 530-55-grn range With an FOC of 21%
