choosing new arrows for new set up.
 

new to this site, so let me first say thanks for a good one. now on to my question. I just ordered a hoyt katera with 28.5" draw at 70 #. Im going with the stock overdraw and tech fall away rest. The pro shop I deal with only carries carbon express arrows so they are really pushing the maxima hunter arrows. I'd really appreciate any input or tech info on different brand carbons and why you would suggest them. Thanks....

First off welcome to the site!

Second congrats on the Hoyt Katera! I own a Vulcan which is a similar bow and love it. MY preference on arrow is the CX Maxima Hnuter with the built in weight forward. If your shop is limited in inventory at least they are smart enought to carry a great arrow. It is a pricey arrow but they are durable and very consistent.

The CX Maxima line of arrows are the best all carbon arrow I have used.

The Maxima Hunters are Awesome! Buy them with confidence:D

Those carbon express maxima's are rather expensive but good. I suggest a .340" spined arrow at 28-29".

I have a Katera, and shoot Maxima hunters. They are the best by far in my opinion. Like everyone said, they are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

CE Maxima Hunters are a great all carbon arrow. For large game, like Elk and Moose, however,I might choose the Easton Axis FMJ. They are a little heavier, and the small diameter slippery shafts give about the best penetration of any arrow I have used. Either arrow should give great accuracy.
