Best rest for finger release?

Hi
I have just gone ahead and ordered an 82nd Airborne, without being able to shoot one (one Bowtech dealer in New Zealand and shipments sold before they land) I am planning to try finger shooting it (If that does not work I will look at going to a release) What would be the best type of rest to use?

I currently use a flipper rest, is this the best choice?

Thanks

"Best" is such a subjective term.

I think you'll find that the majority of the Bowtech "pros" are shooting with the Limb Driver rest. I can't see where that would be a problem with fingers. The Limb Driver is nice, in that it's like having a flipper rest that folds flat at the very last instant before the fletching would otherwise brush against the flipper arms.

Don't even think about a dropaway for a fingers release. It isn't going to do a single thing for you. If you do eventually decide to go with a release, then you might want to consider the dropaway.

I give the exact same advice about whisker bisquits. Watch these videos of finger released arrows and tell me how a whisker bisquit can possibly work for shooting fingers.

So... If you have someone tell you wb's are good for shooting fingers, stick your fingers in your ears and shout "LA LA LA LA" until they go away. If they don't go away, RUN FOR IT! No telling what people that crazy are capable of.

Personally, I prefer simple flipper rests, like the NAP Centerest flipper, or go upscale a bit with something like the Cavalier FreeFlyte. Almost all top flight fingers shooters use flippers of some sort. I've done a lot of really good shooting with a plain springie rest too, but I can't recommend one of those if you shoot plastic vanes.

Thanks guys, I currently use the NAP centerest flipper, so I will stick with that initially, I guess I was mainly interested in whether a drop away would offer any advantages.

Arthur if anyone advises a whisker biscuit I will most certainly run like hell from that crazy person! :D

Thanks
