recurve string
 
hello all i just bought a used recurve bow with no string, it reads 62amo doses this mean i need a 62 inch string or do i need to take off 2 inchs and buy a 60 inch string. thanks for any help

No conversion is necessary. If you buy a string for a recurve bow it will automatically be 4" shorter than the bow. All you need to ask for is a 62" AMO string with the proper amount of strands. If it's an older bow then be sure and get a string made of Dacron or B50 material.

62" AMO or 58" actual length and if it doesn't have reinforced tips do like BG said and make sure it's B50 dacron.

3" less than AMO. You need a 59" string. You can always shorten by twisting.
