Need some Bowtech info asap...

Can someone please tell me what the specs are for the ' 02 bowtech extreme solo? Also, did this model have winner' s choice string/cable and the sandtrap limb pockets?

Any other anecdotal info regarding how it shoots, hand shock, etc. will be appreciated...

The 2002 models have Winners Choice and the sand trap pockets.Earlier models didn' t have either. They are a good shooting bow.

There were two brace height options.
6" BH, 35" a to a, 325-333 IBO
7" BH, 35" a to a, 311-319 IBO

Yes it does. My buddy has the Samson with the 80 lb. limbs and absolutely loves the bow. He shot 7 deer with it last season so it must be a lucky charm or something.

The Infinity cam was optional in 2001 and 2002, so it could very well have the standard BT cam w/o adjustable let off.

The 2000 model didn' t have a W/C string and cable or sand trap limb pockets, but the ES has had them simce then.

There is a small difference between the 2001 and 2002 Extreme Solo. The axle to axle on a 2001 was 36" with brace options of 5.65" and 6.65"

The 2002 ES has a 35" axle to axle with brace opitons of 6" or 7" .

How is the recoil/hand shock with this bow?

Are you going to retire the hornet??
Or have you stumbled across a deal too good to pass up?

Never! Well, when they make something that does 350+ with no hand shock that' s as pretty as the hornet, maybe :)

I got my 2003 Diamond catalog in the mail last week and to tell you the truth, I think the hornet looks just as good on paper as the machete. Now I just have to decide between a diamond with nearly zero proshop support, or a bowtech blackhawk with shop support. The bowtech dealer is waiting for his 2003 bows, so therefore so am I.

Yeah, I' m a cheap fish excrement so it' s going to take something pretty special to make me want to give up on my hornet. The hornet is faster than the machete, but the machete has more vft in the limb angle, so possibly less shock/recoil, but the hornet is well tamed with limbsavers and an 8" stealth, so that isn' t even an issue with me.

Let them come out with a dually or hybrid cam action, brace of 8" and an ibo around 350, well, I' d be looking long and hard... Probably next year :)
