I don't think the ends of the arrow were cut incorrectly as I used the same Apple saw to cut each. Also, the tips of the hidden inserts are actually completely inside the shaft. I will take your advice and re-inspect them though just to make sure. I'll try anything at this point. ~J~

I cut my shafts in an Apple saw too but it is always a good idea to square of the cut end. I also square off the inserts once they are in and the glue is set. A good tool for this is the G5 A.S.D. (arrow squaring device).
