Bow Strings and Cables

I love Hoyt bows...but the Fuse string/cables are at best...hate to admit it...JUNK. Anyone have ideas as to what is the best for the $$$$. I have heard a little about Vapor Trail, and this Buck Nasty (Gibblet?) I have a Winners Choice on my Vectrix but it's a little pricey..looking to get that on my Katera XL too......

I have used Winners' Choice with good results on my Hoyt. Also very good are the strings/cables from Gibblet on this site. First rate craftsmanship.

Thanks, I think I may try Gibblet out this time to see what he has to offer.

I just put set of rock solid on my vulcan and couldnt be happier. I shot it about 15 times put my peep in shot a couple more times and it has not moved since. Dont get me wrong i didnt hate the fuse string but my peep was still moving after hundreds of shots. Im still suprised how much of a difference a quality set of custom strings makes.

Do you have problems with the string serving separarting, like other brands?

I think my next set will be VaporTrail.

I haven't had any trouble with the serving seperating, peep won't stop rotating on me, had strand come loose in my vectix string....just no confidence in it at all. I'm thinking of giving vapor trial a try, inexpensive and I haven't heard anything bad about them?

Where do you post your bow info (ie below) so it show up in your postings?

Hoyt Katera XL 70 LBS 30.5" draw
Carbon Express Maxima Hunter
G5 Striker 100gr.??

As you can see I'm new to the site

Hoytrocks, I'm looking at buying anew bow this spring and have found most bow brands have this probiem with their strings. That why no bow info yet. My old bow about 20 yrs old, pointblank.

I just put a set of gibbet's on my Bowtech, and I'm up to about200 shots and couldn't be happier. I'd bet if you gave him a try you would feel the same.

Thanks for the info guys, I think I may try Vapor Trial this time. Gibblet is too far out to get his right now....probably a testament to his skills.

I have actually been hearing good things about the latest version of Fuse strings but have no first hand knowledge of them.
