QUESTION ABOUT PEEP SIGHT HEIGHT

WELL IVE BEEN WORKING ON MY FORM ALOT LATELY AND I JUST NOTICED WHEN I DRAWBACK AND LOOK THROUGH MY PEEP IT ISNT FACING STRAIGHT TOWARDS MY SIGHT..
SO I MOVE MY PEEP SIGHT HIGHER UNTILL I FEEL IT IS ALIGNED WITH THE SIGHT...
THEN I SHOOT AND MY POI TELLS ME TO MOVE MY SIGHT HIGHER...
PROBLEM, THE SIGHT IS ALREADY AS HIGH AS IT CAN GO...

WHAT SHOULD I DO?
I WAS THINKING THE NOCK POINT MIGHT NEED TO BE RAISED A BIT OR MAYBE THE REST NEEDS TO BE LOWERED A BIT...

WHAT DO YOU THINK/?

THANX

RE: QUESTION ABOUT PEEP SIGHT HEIGHT

Quit moving your peep up and down the string.

Close your eyes, draw, and anchor. With out moving your head to find the peep have someone move the peep to your eye. You will need to let down and draw a couple of times to get it perfect. Once you get it in the correct spot mark it exactly where the string crosses the peep. If it needs to be twisted take it to a shop to move a few strands of the string around the peep until it comes back straight.

RE: QUESTION ABOUT PEEP SIGHT HEIGHT

Yeah, stop moving evreything, your rest/nock position should be set-up initially...leave it if you trust your archery shop...Do what the previous post said, get a buddy/pro shop PRO to help you out, close your eyes, draw your bow, than have them mark your string where your eye is in relation to the string...also do the corner of your mouth if you want a kisser button...Whats most important above all of this is your initail set-up, draw lenth is a major factor in being comfortable with your peep/kisser position...so verify this with your shop also..hope you get it squared away and good luck....tknapp

RE: QUESTION ABOUT PEEP SIGHT HEIGHT

The point everyone is making is that your peep location is fixed by the distance from your anchor point to your eye and should never change. It is irregardless of the sight position.

RE: QUESTION ABOUT PEEP SIGHT HEIGHT

Another reason you might be shooting high is because the draw length of the bow is too long, necessitating a high peep position and a low anchor. If and when you get everything adjusted correctly or at least close, you should not have to "look" through your peep. It should just "be there" when you come to anchor--almost imperceptably so. You should never have to move your head to adjust to a bow. You adjust the bow so it fits YOU.

Yeah, well, some words just come into my feeble brain once in a while. Let me say it this way. When youy draw the bow anad anchor you should not have to look "through" the peep. You should look at the target and the pins line up on that. There should be no conscious effort to see through the peep at all.
