Default Hoyt pound adjusting

I have a Hoyt Vipertec with the xt2000 limbs. Anyone know the adjustment for 1/2 turn or a whole turn? Is this something I shouldnt mess with without putting on a press?

I bought the bow second hand, and without manual. I really like the bow and dont want to mess up a good thing, but I could use a few extra #'s.

You do not need to press the bow to adjust the draw weight. Just loosen the locking bolts under the limbs, and adjust. 1 full turn is roughly 3 pounds. Give or take half a pound.

My Hoyt has the XT2000 limbs. Four turns is just over 10 lbs. of draw weight. Just make sure you loosen the the locking screws on the sides before doing any turning on the limb bolts - tighten them back up when youare done.

BTW: The locking bolts are the ones with the oval head NOT the ones with the flat head that are flush with the side of the limb pocket

#2 in the image below is the limb locking bolt.

Thanks a bunch. What is the max weight for the xt2000 limbs? I had it put on the tester and it was at 67#'s. Does this mean that 1 more full turn will put me around 70#'s?

Max weight depends on what model, just being an XT2000 doesn't determine the weight. If you're at 67 #'s now, you've got a 70 pound bow, so yes....I full turn will put you very close to that.

Default Hey does anyone know how to adjust the xt2000 limbs down to 45 pounds

I really need to know if I can bring them down to there because I can't pull back any above 45 or else my shoulder hurts for weeks

As was stated earlier, just knowing they are XT2000 limbs doesn't help in knowing the poundage range. Look on the inside of your upper limb. There should be a sticker with the model, string length, and poundage range on it.

Hey bud be careful how much you back off your poundage. Hoyt recommends not loosening your limb bolts more then 8 full turns. So to get the lightest setting, screw your limb bolt in until the limbs bottom out then back them off no more than 8 turns. If I were you I would back them each out 6 turns then use the remaining turns to adjust my tiller.
