One last question...

I had my bow checked and retuned and had new serving and a D loop put on. Now my D loop faces the inside of the bow, it turn to the straight out position when I nock an arrow. it will automatically go back to the side after the shot or when the arrow is not nocked. is this perhaps causing a problem when I shoot?? the peep is turned sideways in the string, but when I come to full draw it lines up perfectly. should the D loop be straight? or does it matter? the shop put it in the press and he tried to twist the string, but he said it would not stay where it needed to be, but it would be ok. what do you guys think? I have shot it and it seems ok, but I want to know it is ok.

That's why he spun your loop to the inside, so that when you hook your release to it and draw the peep opens up like it should. Sometimes they can be a real PITA to square up. I've seen them nearly impossible to, actually. Essentially he's using your D-loop as a peep aligner. Does it matter? Well, how are you shooting?

RE: One last question...

Mobow hit it right, loop is used to align peep. Mine is the same way, got tired of trying to get it straight with twisting string and everything else. So, now my peep does the work for me. Have noticed 0 difference in the way it shoots, and there is definitely a certain confidence that comes with knowing your peep will ALWAYS be lined up, unless you hook your release on backwards or something, which really isn't possible. So, you're good I think!

Or you could flip your peep around and spin your d-loop around so that it's all in line even at brace. :)

Greg, I see your point, but if his peep is 90*, say, to the inside, how is flipping it going to matter? The best he could hope for there is to be 90* to the OUTside, right?

peep is turned to the outside and when I come to full draw it turns right where it needs to be for me to see.
