Where can I find teflon tape for my bodoodle?

You can get teflon paste or tape at any hardware store, or big chain store. (Lowe's, Menards, Home Depot, etc)

But, I don't know if you saw it in your previous Bodoodle post, you may want to try out heat shrink tubing instead. You can buy this at the same store you would find teflon tape.

Dave, you aren't referring to teflon thread tape are you? That stuff will not hold up to this, no way. IF I were gonna use teflon tape on that, I would order some clamp release tape from Bohning. Shrink tubing may be better..

You know what? I have a strip of the above mentioned tape at home. PM me your addy and I'll send it to you to try out if you want.

Oh, another thought. Would moleskin work??

Thats what I suggested in his other thread;)

Shrink tubing will work but it wears out quick and costs a lot more than mole skin.;)

I think moleskin would be a good choice Germ. I have used it on a few rests and it holds up very well.

Heck, as long as you're in the "trying" mood... what about that spray-on rubber lining you can buy in a can? Take your prongs off and spray 'em down good with that... ought to be quiet, and should last for a long time.

Hmmm... maybe i ought to file for the patent right away... [:-]

I do this in my Treestands, they don'y rust and are not slippery. Less noisey also;)

And the cool thing mobow is there's probably enough in one spray can to do a lifetime of rests -- even if you bought a new one every year or so. :)

Well, that IS teflon tape correct? ;) I knew it wouldn't hold up.... I was just answering Germ's original question and was suggesting heat shrink tubinginstead.

But since Greg is a smarty pants and just totally trumped our ideas, he is taking us out for dinner, all of thosewho suggested something in this thread.

Am I missing something here.:eek:You want to quiet your rest down so that when you draw an arrow it's quiet and something that's *not* slippery may work, hmmm.

Lancaster is loaded with goodies.;)

There is also a teflon coating dip but I can't find it at the moment.

Moleskin is awesome on a bodoodle, doesn't make a sound at all and will last for a good while depending on the amount of arrows you tend to shoot. Been using it for years on mine the thin stuff, I have noticed though that the older the moleskin is the less the glue holds, new moleskin will fix that though...good luck in your trials and let us know about the spray on rubber.

I use mole skin on my Bodoodle.Works great and stay's on.
