D loop issue now!!!

Gosh this is rediculous, anyway, now when I shoot as of today, my d loop ends up being twisted out top the left, how do I rotate it back to straight and keep my peep and loop aligned, how to I keep it from rotating??

RE: D loop issue now!!!

Is the knot spinning on the serving? I have that issue, and HATE it. Drives me nuts. If that's what it is, simply spin the knot back around where it should be, and FOR NOW use a little super glue to keep it there until you can tie a new loop on. What material is your loop made of? I would recommend a new loop w/ BCY D-loop material. That braided camo stuff is CRAP.

No the loop itself is not spinning, it is the string that is twisting, this just started today.

I am having that same issue right now myself. Its kind of frustrating and I was wondering why it would do that. But mine doesn't look like it is stretched any, both my cams look even compared to the limbs on my Guardian.

I JUST HAD THAT SAME PROBLEM AND THE ANSWER IS. . . . GET THE METAL D LOOP FROM TRUBALL.COM ITS CALLED THE TRU-NOK . . . .IT HAS A TAB THAT KEEPS YOUR STRING AND PEEP FROM TWISTING

yea its really cool. with the string D-loop every time i shot it would twist around the bowstring and every couple shots i had to twist my peep to be able to see through it and now with these things i havent had that problem at ALL

are the knots on your loop on opposite sides? That is one things guys do who tie loops wrong the knots have to be facing in opposite directions, if not the loop may want to twist on the string. If you post a pic of it I can tell

If like you say the loop is not spinning on the serving, but the string is stretching and twisting then the Ultra nock is not going to fix your problem. And it is a PIA to put on and adjust if you need to. At least with the string loop all you have to do is give it a twist. With the Ultra Nock you will have to loosen the tiny screws and turn it, hoping that you get it right and that the nocking point doesn't change. If your string is twisting the ultra nock will turn right with it, just like the string loop is.

I have used them before, and they work, but so does a decent loop and costs way less and weighs a lot less. Plus the metal nock can be hard on your release sometimes, or your release may not even work with one.

It sounds to me like you have a string issue, not a nock issue. For now let it twist where it wants, just rotate back straight when you nock the arrow and hook up your release. The peep should still remain lined up if your loop is not turning on the serving. When it settles in put your bow in a press and add or remove a twist or so until it lines up the way you want it.

If it ends up your loop is turning on the serving you could serve the loop in like a peep sight or something.

100% agree, make sure the knots are on opposite sides. NEVER put superglue on your serving or loop. It will deterioate it. Don't ask me how I know this[:@]! I will tell ya, punching yourself in the face, hurts LOL.

Another thing you can do, put a couple small notches on a set of needlenose pliers, align your peep and loop, use the pliers to tighten the heck out of the loop. It should not come loose.

What about the fact that you have metal release jaws on a metal
D-loop. Doesn't this damage or wear out (friction)your release jawsor at least make noise. Also, whatabout additionalweight on your bow string?

bingo.

DO NOT USE A METAL LOOP!

Those things are junk. Too heavy, they tear up your releases and can really damage your cable gaurd. If you use a release with a metal loop you might as well throw it away if you ever go back to string loops.

I can't count on both hands how many cable gaurds I've seen all dinged up because of people using metal loops.
