What is any good reason for using a left helical vs right. I mean I can see right helical it would keep tips tight. Whats the advantage of left?

this is just a guess but for left handed trad guys using left wing feathers? Particularly with glue on tips on wood arrows?

I believe lefties use left wing helical so the feathers will rotate away from the riser.

Aside from that, a bird has a left and right wing, no sense in letting half of the feathers to to waste. ;)
