RE: looking into buying a fletching jig..
I have only used the Bitzenbergers and I agree , I think they are the best . But a friend of mine bought the multi Jojan and has no problems with it . So if he thinks it is pretty darn good I would have to agree then since he is a perfectionist. Also if you are going to glue in your inserts do NOT use the 5 minute epoxy but use the 24 hour epoxy. The five minute epoxy gets too brittle and after awhile your inserts will start to fall out.

RE: looking into buying a fletching jig..
I have a Bohning, Martin, Arizona and the Bitz. The Bitz by far has the strongest magnet which makes for a tighter bond between the shaft and fletching. Do not discount the Arizona which does three fletchings at a time! I like the Bitz the because of the magnet but one thing it lacks is the ability to adjust the indexing (just like the Arizona and the Bohning) which is important if you use nocks that are glued in.
I have just started using fletching tape and it is pretty good stuff. |
RE: looking into buying a fletching jig..
I like to use my bohning I bought it almost a year ago I think I might go with a Bitz soon it seems now that both me and my wife are shooting a lot more. Also in the winter months when I don't shoot as much as I would like I wouldn't mind trying different fletching options and see what works best. I personally don't think anything I spend on hunting is a waste because it is part of my life. Now I am not rich by any means but I just love this stuff and when I can't be outside I like to do whatever I can inside that has to do with hunting. I guess what I am saying is buy a cheap jig see if you like it then spend some money.
