FOC and arrows
i am getting new arrows for my new bow, i found out that i need to have my arrows at 27 inches for the right spine, and i shoot 125 grain BH, i figured out my FOC it is 14.17% so what does that mean?
Edit: crap i forgot to add the weight of the insert does anyone know how much a easton st epic insert weighs? |
RE: FOC and arrows
I like to keep my Broadheads between 12% and 15% FOC. It sounds like you are good to go unless you decide to experiment with Extreme FOC. I built some FMJ's late last year using Brass HIT inserts and the FOC ended up over 20% They fly Awesome and group unbelieveable at longer distances. Those 500 grain arrows leave my Guardian with next to Zero noise!

RE: FOC and arrows
well what does it mean that i have 14.17% FOC, and if my insert weighs 8 grains which i think it does my FOC will be 14.97%.
