Each bow has it's own "sweet spot" but I've found that to GENERALLY be around 5.8 gpp......Now, having said that, I'm shooting nearly 7 gpp at 286 fps......

If you don't have the opportunity to try out lots of different weight arrows, you have an obstacle to overcome. Because if you're like me, you don't want to buy 5 half dozen arrows to see what works best..... So, decide what your goals are....light/fast or heavy/slow and go from there. Let the spine of the arrow be the determining factor.

so then 6gpp would be ok, i would rather have a in the middle arrow, cause to light with my DW might not give the enuf KE and to much i will be shooting logs:D, i found the arrows i like, but a few guys said they were over spined, but isnt that ok, just as long as they are under spined?

Well, a little overspined is ok...but too much isn't good either.

well my new bow is going to be 50-55 pounds, and my DL is 24-25 inches long, i am not sure which one i am comfy with yet, cause i havnt shot in a while and probaly grew. the arrows are spined 500 and i am shooting 125 grain muzzy's.

I agree! Get'em on the money. Lots of things go into making a great hunting arrow, don't overlook the proper FOC for broadheads either.

how do you figure the FOC out and how much do you want?

FOC is the percentage of the arrow length in front of center that the arrow actually balances. For broadheads I prefer 12% to 15%. Even higher FOC seems to have some advantages.
