I was just wanting anyones opinion on the best hunting fall-away rest? What do you think about the quicktune 2000?

I tried the quicktune 2000 and could not to get to work properly.
I now have the Muzzy Zero Effect and it works great.

I've heard the best ones and the easiest to tune are the muzzy zero effect, the Nap 2000 and 4000 and the Trophy taker. I'm trying to decide which one of these to go with myself!

MUZZY ZE is the only way to go. Yes it's expensive. But it works flawlessly. I have one on 2 of my bows.

I have used the Trapdoor, Trophy Taker, Quick tune 4000 and the Muzzy Zero Effect. All of these rests work well. The muzzy was the most accurate in my opinion. I like the Trapdoor because it has no strings or cable attached anywhere. The new Powerdrop looks interesting. I'll have to try one...

Both the muzzy and trophy taker are fine rests. I use the muzzy on my MQ-32 and had the trophy taker on my patriot. Both perform flawlessly.

I was just wondering if you could have an arrow knocked with the trophy taker rests. What holds the arrow in place before draw on a trophy taker arrow rest?

If you want simple easy and accurate. Trophy taker is by far the best. I have had no one ever complain about this rest.

I have used the GKF Mirage, Muzzy Zero Effect and Montana Black Gold Trapdoor rests. I found the Mirage to be the easiest to set up and initially use. The Zero Effect was probably the most consistant after initial setup and the Trapdoor was the simplest design.

Allright this is great definatly like the new board much faster . The zerro effect is number one in my book espcialy for hunting . The trophy taker works well allso and I see quiet a few people useing them for 3d shoots . The nap' s are nice allso and are proably the quietest of the bunch . I modified mine to work off of the cabel so if you have one of the newer mathews it will work with them , here is a link to the thread on the modified nap 4000 with pics

Here is another vote for the MZE.

As far as the Trophy Taker, I have seen guys gluing old shafts to their shelf to act as an arrow containment so they can have it knocked at all times.

I' ve used the MZE, trophey taker, the orginal, and the shakey hunter one.
I have noticed if you introduce any arrow knock pinch with the trophey taker orginal the arrow will come off of the lizzard tounge holder. In other words the arrow capture ability leaves something to be desired.

I find with the trophey taker shakey hunter the problem is taken care of. In other words the arrow capture ability is a lot better. I have it on my target/3d bow. I haven' t decided if I would hunt this rest or not, time will tell.

I find the Muzzy Zero Effect has the best arrow capture ability of the three. I have it on the bow I hunt with.:)

Golden Key Mirage gets my vote, but I' m going to try the Trophy Taker with original launcher. I think the GK Power Drop will be my next test rest.

Go with the Trap Door and dakota arrow holder. This setup works real well for me.

I really like the Muzzy as well. Vital Bow Gear (the artist formerly known as SME) has one that looks interesting too. Anyone use one??

I haven' t found anything thats beats the Muzzy yet. I shot a Trophy Taker on a patriot (not my bow) and everytime I drew it, the arrow went behind the arm and I had to let down and yes, it was the shaky hunter. I can draw my Muzzy with my eyes closed and it is perfect everytime. The Trophy Taker would make a good 3D rest where you can draw easy-watch your arrow and let down if it' s not right but in the woods, I' ll take the works everytime Muzzy;) Don

Don you said when you drew the bow the arrow went behind the arm on the TT rest? I' m a little confused as to what you are saying.Are your arrows too short and falling behind the rest? I' ve shot one and don' t see how the arrow can fall " behind" the rest.From my limited experience with a TT I don' t even see how it could fall off the rest(shaky Hunter) unlesss you are turning the bow 90 degrees when you draw it back.Something just does' nt seem right.

I' m with Cajun...don' t see how you could get the arrow to fall off (Behind?) with the Shakey Hunter. It covers the whole shelf!!! I put it through a pretty tough test before I was sold on it' s effectiveness and I can say I' ve never had any of the problems Don describes.

I have not used any of these rests except for the NAP 4000. The NAP is a fine rest and has worked flawlessly on my Bowtech Pro 38.

Speed Loss from the MZE???? Whatchoo talkin' ' bout Rangeball???? NONE! Unless I' m missing something???? Mine only has contact with the arrow for about 8" . If anything I would think it faster than a TM or prong.

I seem to recall reading somewhere about the cable slide action slowing a bow down just a bit. Maybe it' s not true, but that' s why I asked... Just curious.

Hmmmm...never thought about it?? I' ll have to look into that and get back to you. makes sense that it would slow it a little...Damn! Every week I shoot the league on Thursday. Tweek my bow on Fri and shoot great on Sat, Sun...then I start playing again and it' s goofy for Thursday and I shoot like crap! I ' m blamin' it all on you Rangeball!LOL:)

The best is also the cheapest and easiest to set-up and tune. It is a converted QT3000. Just reverse the spring direction so the prongs are forced down. Tie a piece of serving string to the base of the inside prong and then around the cable that moves down when you draw your bow. Don' t sweat the exact location on the cable as the serving string will find this for you and stay there. To quiet the drop of the prongs on the shot. I use plastic door insulation strip and sticcky back fleece. for the arrow capture system when the bow is at rest just cut 1/2" pvc down the miccle and cover in fleece and glue on the shelf in front of the rest. This works flawlessly and is a quiet as they come. BTW to tune or set up your specs like NK point, Horizontal and vertical centershot just hold the rest up and make your adjustments with the micro adjust capabilities built into the 3000. Sounds harder than it really is. PS don' t serve in the string on your cable so if you need to twist the cable for tuning adjustments the connect can just be turned back around.

I tryed a quick tune but didn' t like now I have muzzy on both my bows a little pricey but worth it
