RE: best fall away rest
I have been using 2 fall aways as of late one is the Mirage which is on my Bowtech Extreme VFT & the Golden Premier Fall Away on my 3-D which is a Mathews Icon. I really enjoy shooting both rests, I have had great luck with both. If you would like more info on them please e-mail me.

RE: best fall away rest
I just put a NAP Quicktune 2000 on my Conquest. It was kind of a pain in the butt to adjust left and right (Sometimes you inadvertantly move it too far). I can see the advantages in the micro adjust in the 4000 model. But when i got it in, my arrow flight is fantastic. It is a very simple system using a similar design to the Trophy Taker. I have been very happy so far. I have also put it on a couple Hoyts too. By the way, it is the same Dropaway rest that Hoyt offers (NAP makes it for them).

Another MZE fan.
Although I have no complaints on the zero effect, I still think I' ll try out the Trophy Ridge Dropzone this year just for the heck of it. I know my MZE works well, so I can always go back to it. |

In my opinion, the Plainsman is the best drop away rest you can buy but, I am very much biased. Coming to an internet auction soon!!

RE: best fall away rest
Didn' t see my name here so I want to be coounted. I have and LOVE [&:] the Quicktune 4000. It is GREAT, accurate and quiet. BTW, I gained 3 fps changing from the QT 1000 to the 4000 and my groups are much smaller.

RE: best fall away rest
I just bought everything yesterday. I put the nap quicktune 2000 on my Razortec and I am VERY PLEASED so far. I' ll be paper tuning it today and the pro shop will take care of all the adjustements for me making it very easy. It' s been extreemly quiet and accurate to this point and has worked flawlessly. It also cost less than half of what they wanted for the Muzzy which is a lot of $$$.

RE: best fall away rest
Trophy taker helped me kill six deer this year.
Now Im shooting the best scores for me ever and good scores for indoor. I just 300 53x at state indoor. 3d, Indoor and hunting Trophy Taker works. |
RE: best fall away rest
There are a lot of good ones out there. I personally really like my NAP QT 4000. I settled on it last summer when I swapped out a couple different rests, including the MZE till I found one I was really happy with. I like it because its compact, quiet and with the added sticky holder, there arent too many worries about the arrow coming off the rest unless you turn the bow upside down. I would also recommend the MZE. Another quality rest, just not for me for some reason.

RE: best fall away rest
I have used a Trophey Taker for 2 years with no problems. If you want to you could find a peice of some heavier flexable foam and adhear it to the shelf of your bow, cut a 1/4" slot in the center down from the top with a 1/4" hole drilled throut it at the bottom of the slot. Then when you nock your arrow it loosly snaps into the hole and when you draw it pops out of the hole when the rest rises up.
l l l l l l l l l /_\ l l______l ok I tried to modify the dashes, but cant get it quite right, sorry. It would look somthing like that. |
RE: best fall away rest
I just installed a GKF Power Drop on a 2002 MQ1 a few days ago. Installation and setup was a breeze. I had it punching bullet holes in about ten shots.
I took it out yesterday to fling a few rounds. I' m down to four target arrows so I' ll be ordering more soon. On my first group @ 30 yds, the first arrow hit dead center in the bull. The second arrow took half the nock and part of a fletching off the first arrow. The third arrow banged into the same hole as the first two without doing futher damage. The fourth arrow took half the nock off of the second arrow. I would say it' s working pretty well so far. I' m very pleased. I need more arrows (and nocks) though. :D |
