Gluing Helicals

With my JoJan fletching jig, gluing R heical Blazer vanes onto myarrows causes the rear of the vane not to stick tothe shaft on both sides of the vane. Any idea how to tune this out on the jig, or do I just have to deal with it.

Im not sure about the jojan but on my bitz you can adjust the clamp to get full contact from fletch to shaft. If yours has that kind of adjustment you will just have to play with it a little. Best of luck.

Yes, it sounds like you have too much offset to the clamp. Put a vane in the clamp with no glue on it and then adjust the offset so that you have good contact from end to end.

Tough to do any helical with blazers since they are so short, perhaps straight offset is a better choice. I shoot four inch left helical, with as much as I can possible get out of my bitz jig, but with the 4" vanes, no contact problems.
