Cybertec arrow speed

I got my new chronograph yesterday and I had to find out my arrow speed out of my Cybertec. I am shooting a 403 gr. arrow from my bow set at 70 lbs. and 28.5 in. draw. My arrow speed was 274 fps. I have a Q2 set up almost the same as my Cybertec. Shooting the same arrow through the Q2, the chronograph read 272 fps. I figured the two bows would be pretty close in velocity, but not that close. Has anybody else come up with similar results with the Cybertec? I have string leeches, a peep, and a nock on my string.

That is very interesting seeing that there is around an inch difference in brace height between the two bows.

Now that you have had your cybertec for a while you should give us an in depth comparison between the Q2 and the cybertech. I realize a persons own bias could skew the report but it would be interesting nevertheless to see a side-by-side comparison from a person who shoots both bows with indentical set-ups over a period of time. <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm really not very good at giving reviews. I know what I like and dislike when it comes to archery equipment, but I am not good at decsribing this to others. I will try to give you some of my opinions though. First, I will say that I love both bows. They are both very easy to shoot. I like the narrow grip of the Hoyt better than the wider grip of the Q2. I find it easier to get the grip in the same spot on my hand with the Hoyt's narrow grip. The Q2 feels a little better to me when I draw it. It has more of a solid feel at full draw. The Hoyt is much quieter when shot. It makes almost no noise when shot. The Mathews is quiet, but not nearly as quiet as the Hoyt. I will say I use a Vibracheck stabilizer on both, and it has alot to do with how quiet the bows are. It is a great stabilizer. Both bows are much louder when I take it off. One thing that I really like about the Hoyt is the Versa cam. It is unbelievably simple to adjust the draw and let off to suit you. The Mathews is a little more compact and might be better than the Hoyt for treestand hunting. This is simply because of the shorter ATA length. My Q2 is really bad about tearing up the serving on the cable and it appears the Hoyt is going to be the same way. It is already seperating in the short time I have had the bow, although I have shot it alot. It is really no big deal though. I don't mind changing strings and cables every year if needed. I have shot the Hoyt enough now that I am getting better groups with it than I do with the Q2. I know it is because the grip feels better to me. I love both bows and I would not want to sell either one. I need them both. I will say this. As much as I like the Q2, if I had the new world record typical Whitetail standing in front of me at 30 yards, I would want the Cybertec in my hands. I hope this answered a few of your questions.

Roller, where in Indiana are you from? I am from Brownsburg and have trouble finding pro shops. The closest one is in Greenwood.

I am from the Monticello area. There are several pro shops within a 45 minute drive from here.

Very interesting, thanks Roller.

P.S. There is nothing wrong with how you describe what you like and don't like! :)

This is the same &quot;delimma&quot; I am having to think through. I am hoping the '02 Mathews line up will make the decision for me.
