Default String Supressor Setup

I was just wondering where the rubber end should line up with the string at rest? Should it be touching it with no pressure, little gap between, or touching it with slight pressure?

The factory one on my Vectrix has a gap between it and the string, is this correct?

Come on MeanV, I know your lurking somewhere near.

I believe it should just be touching it slightly. I just got one from him and the guy at my Pro Shop told me that.

Most string suppressors I have setup end up just touching the string with no pressure on it. Some report leaving a credit card thickness between the suppressor and the string.
