Splitter

Has anyone tried the Splitter peep, saw an ad with a video and it looked like a good peep. As I've gotten older my eyes are not as good as they use to be, things up close are blurry and its harder to see through my standard peep.

There was a discussion about this over on the mathew's forum.

The consensus was that it is way too heavy (around 64 grains for the standard size) and cost too much (about $17 and the mini is about $23) for anyone to even consider using. A properly set up and sized G5 or tru-peep just can't be beat.

I tried one like you I'm a old man and can't see. I tried it and I didn't like it. I think it's because I have used a peep over 40 years and it just didn't look right and it took me longer to line up it with the top of my sight. In my younger day I used a kisser button for hunting and could drive nails with it. Than the bows all got shorter and made it harder to imposable to use one right way in the center of your mouth.

If you are shooting pins and you are having trouble seeing them becuase of aging eyes (like mine) get a Specialty Archery peep and put a Verifier lens in and your pins will clear up.

I should get a hold of Don and ask him about it. I have known Don a lot years. In fact I have one of his first peeps. Maybe I just haft to get the Verifier lens to put in the peep I have.
