cable guide noise?

When I draw and shoot bow the cable guide makes noise while sliding on shaft, like it's dry. Besides going with a teflon slide is there anything you can do to quite it down? Didn't know if there is something to clean it with or rub/spray on it to help.
Thanks

Try a little string wax.

String wax should work. If it doesn't, you could try a little powdered graphite lubricant.

Best thing you can do is clean the rod and the inside of the slide with alcohol. Then DON'T put any lube on it. Keep it clean.

I would recommend spending the 8 bucks or so and just going with the tephlon. I had the plastic one on my diamond pretty much just break in 2. I put a tephlon on and so far no problems if not smoother.

I use a little mineral oil after cleaning it! Veg oil works ok too, just rub it in really good with a tissue and don't leave any oil on it

I had ware on my shaft and it was hanging up I turned it around end for end and it was fine. When it was hanging up it threw my shot off it was hardly noticable and it was driving me crazy till i figured it out.So I guess I just figured if you run into that problem you will nowhy

I have used this along with a cable slide even though the add saysit can be used without it.I do not reccomend that.

I would still reccomend going with a new teflon slide.
