Fletching Newbie

Ok , i got a Bitzenburger dial-a-fletch ( straight clamp ) off my mum for christmas and i wanna get started . I'm using Quikspin ST's and am lookin for any links or help to get me started and this is the best place to ask . I just bought some GT XT Hunters and all the bits to complete , But i'm gonna start on my old XX75 Gamegetters to practice .

Can i offset with the dial , if so how much ? ( i heard they spin better this way )

I'm using Saunders Arrow mate cement , how much do i use ?

Any help is greatly Appreciated ;)

RE: Fletching Newbie

Put the fletch in the clamp and put theshaft in the jig. Then take the clamped fletch and do a dry match. By that I mean do not put any glue on the fletch but adjust the clamp so that the fletch is on theshaft where you may want it to be. Then you can loosen the jig dials a bit and turn/adjust them until you get the amount of offset you want and still have the whole length of the fletch making contact with the shaft. Once you have everything where you want it tighten the jig dials, put glue on fletch and get started. Have fun!
