Arrow Length

If my draw length is 29.5 in. what is the min. length I can use? I've heard the get one inch extra, but I've also heard that with carbon arrows you get by with the same length of the draw. Doesn't make much sense but that's what I've been told.

RE: Arrow Length

It doesn't matter what material the arrow is made out of. With a bow that is cut past centershot for broadhead clearance (and most ALL compounds are made that way these days), all you need is enough arrow length to extend a half inch or so beyond the contact point of your arrow rest.

Load an arrow on your rest, draw it to anchor and have someone mark it for you right where the arrow sits on the rest. Add a half inch and that will tell you how much length you need.
