New bow, hows my draw length?

Got my new bow today, and I took Tfox's advice and got it 1/2" longer than my last one. Hows it look? I'm aiming slightly low, because of the height of my ceiling here in the basement.

That looks more thana 1/2" from the last picture you posted with the Hoyt.Specs on one of the bows is probably off a little.Form looks solid but a 1/4" shorter probably wouldn't hurt.Might have to try a 1/2" shorter module and shoot a little longer loop, that is what I have had to do.You also have a different a-a bow which gives it a more extreme string angle, which means you might need a little shorter draw to hit the anchors.

There is no doubt you can shoot that where it is accurately though.Just try to rotate the forearm a little more.

I did tell you that you could go longer but I didn't know you were getting a new bow,I said you could go longer on the other bow.;)

luckily, this bow is module adjustable, and the cams arent as limited at the cam and a half I was shooting. I need to play with the draw stop, because I prefer to shoot 65% let off, and its currently at 80%, so I would think that would eliminate a half inch of draw or so.

Let me mess with the stop really quick and post a picture.

That sounds PERFECT,the letoff should do the trick.

That is what I have always liked about adjustable letoff bows, they have slight adjustments to get the draw perfect.

That LOOKS better, now it is time to shoot and find out if that is right for you.Luckily you have room to play. You might want to try another 1/4" shorter to see if it works better for you.

Try the different settings and maybe even get a shorter module and try the longer loop stuff, you will be surprised that little adjustments here or there mean alot.

It is up to you now.:)

I'll have to wait until morning to get some serious shooting in. I have a lighted range, but its only about 15 yards, and I'd like to see how I'm doing at longer ranges. It does feel alot better than the hoyt, It feels like I can stretch out and relax now.

You look more relaxed and that alone should equate to better shooting.

Was the draw maxed out on the Hoyt?

yes, it was. Including let off, and a 3/4" loop.

I don't like the feel of the cam 1/2 maxed out,I like it 1/2' to 1" off of maxed out.Very aggresive when setmaxed out.You will like this new setup better imo.

Watch that trigger finger! Keep it behind the trigger when you don't have the bow pointed at a target. That sliding glass door would be expensive to replace! Better safe than sorry!

Maybe just a hair too long as the arrow nock is slightly behind your eye (vertically), but the rest of your body looks to be in decent alignment. I think I'd go with what you have for a while to let your mind and body adjust to the new length. Possibly shorten up a tad later on and see if your aim is more solid.

TFOX has you going in the right direction.
