split fires
This year was my first year using the mechanical splitfires and damn they are awesome, they cut through the deer leaving a 1-1/2inch hole, I fell in love with them.

RE: split fires
no wonder I wasn't getting a response, I meant to ask if anyone else uses them and what they thought of them.

RE: split fires
Bucky,
No body is replying, cause they thought you were spitting in the fire. HAHAHa. Ok now saying that, the SPIT fires are a great mechanical. Most that use them experience no real problems. I tried them for a few years and eventually went back to T-head 100's. Jim Visit me on the Web... http://www.huntinginga.com |
RE: split fires
Are you talking about spitfires by NAP.If so they are the toughest mech. head I have ever shot. My father-in-law is disabled and shoots a X bow and they work great for him. He has killed 3 deer with the same head(yes-blades to). I have shot the same head in my rubber target about 200 times and finally bent one of the blades. Don

RE: split fires
Yep this is the day after....The day after DEER season here in Ohio.Yes I went out the last day.. It was great.. But no deer to be found. I also use the NAP Spitfires and have been useing them for about 5 years I think it was in 1997 when I harvested my first Bear with a Spitfire. I know they are very accurate and have taken alot of deer with them.I dont see why you would need to even try another broadhead..Just my 2 cents
