Are we talking about a stripped out hole in the riser or just a stripped out screw head where the allen wrench fits in the screw?

He did say he stripped out the allen screw not the riser.

Just get a drill bit 3/16ths and drill off the head of the screw or both screws if you need to. The sight will come right off with no heads on the screws and then you can simply unscrew the body of the screw with pliers.

Or you can go out and purchase an EZ out set and do it that way.

If just the allen head itself, sometimes you can get a metric allen wrench and use it.There might be a metric size that is just enough bigger that it will catch and turn it right out.

If not, drilling the head off is the next option.

If you have a small centerpunch, you can use this method. It also works very well on flathead screws. Punch a small dimple straight down on the head of the screw on the flat surface between the outside edge and where the edge of your hex wrench would fit. Then angle your punch with the point in the dimple you already made, then tap the punch with a hammer, just make sure you go counterclockwise. It shouldn't take too much of a hit to loosen the screw.I know these directions are probably not very clear, but if you see it done once, you wouldn't believe how simple it is.

I've hammered the next size bigger (metric) into the rounded out allen head but that's easier to do with the allenhead screwdriver bits rather than the hex key. Whatever you do to get it out, replace it with a torx head and preferrably stainless but be sure to grease it so it doesn't gall to the aluminum.

Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel works real good for that too, especially on smaller screw heads but unfortunately it can't work if they're recessed.
