RE: .029 vs .019 Fiber Optics?
What do you mean by wrapped sights?

RE: .029 vs .019 Fiber Optics?
Wrapped sights have X number offeet of fiber optic, usually wrapped around the pin guard (although not always) My HHA has 10'. The longer fiber optics gather more light and therefore results in a brighter pin. My HHA has a pin guard that allows you to adjust the brightness by exposing as much or as little of the optics to light as you need to. You can then have just the right pin brightness for the conditions, in a blind, cloudy day, sunny day, etc., etc.;)

i like the smaller pin too...reasons already stated.
one thing i have found is that it doesnt matter how bright your pin is when you can barely see the animal....keep that in mind...these lighted and super bright sights are cool and they are bright but they dont really help after a certain point... what im getting at is after a certain point its just a gimmick and nothing more. go with the smaller sight...and stay away from the ones that have exposed fiber optics that go into the end of the pin(cobra sidewinder style)...they like to pull out, because sooner or later your gonna snag it with a twig....right now i have 2 broke pins on my 5 pin sight. |

That's the reason I like the adjustable pin guard on the HHA sights. You can tone down brightness with just a twist.
Yes they can be too bright;) Dan |

My vital gear sight has the optics wrapped around the outside of the pin guard and I've noticed that there is some light coming from the wrapping (broken fiber).
