Making my noisy draw quieter?

My bow is shooting perfect, I have been patterning a deer that is going to meet a Slick Trick at 7am tomorrow.. My only issue is that my best shot is 18 yards, and I fear he may hear the arrow riding up the rest.
Is there anything I can do to quiet the draw down a bit? Temporary is fine. I am shooting a carbon arrow off a QAD drop away, the draw just seems a bit louder than I need right now.
Something quick and simple for tomorrow, but long term is also something I am interested in.

Thanks!
David

Should have asked a lot sooner. I always put a little moleskin on any rest I use on a hunting bow. Problem is, in your case, you might need to resight the bow as the arrows might hit higher. In the interim, maybe a little strip of masking tape would work

I had this issuse with my rip cord before the season. It was fine for 3/4ths of the draw, but once the rest raised up and the arrow was off the rubber piece, there was a deffinite noise from the launcher. I took some teflon tape and put it on there and it worked great. The stuff is so thin that i really didnt even need to re check my sights. I did anyway, but it needed no adjustment. I cant say how many shots it will hold up for becuase i didnt take many after putting it on. Took about 5 practice shots to re check sights and 2 shots on 2 deer which are now in my freezer. Needless to say, the deer didnt hear the noise:D

A layer of tape should do, thanks.. I will see what I have that is thin to avoid any significant changes in where that arrow rests on my bow..

One other thing you can do is to wax the front1/2 to2/3rds of your arrows with a good, silicone based auto wax. That'll slick 'em up and make them slide easier and, usually, quieter.

Unscented candles work very well.

This is a long term fix that worked great for me. I put two pieces of peep sight tubing on the launchers. I am on my third season with them and 500 or more shots. You would have to resight your bow but they work very well.

A little piece of precut moleskin came with the QAD rest. You will need it to quiet down the draw cycle, this is extremely important. Any changes (adding tape or moleskin)you make could effect tuning and arrow flight.
