I just had a STS put on my Truth yesterday. The guy in the shop left the bottom one on and the top one off. I must say, with the new string from Bucknasty and the STS, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Not only is it quieter, but it has eliminated what little hand shock there was.

Mine wore out very quickly after installing the MeanV2 CSS. The bow is no louder without them and I have less weight on my string.

Whats really interesting is if you stand in front of someone shooting your bow, off to the side and preferably behind a tree or something you will be amazed at how quiet the bow is compared to the arrow noise.

Mine wore out, never replaced them.

I noticed the same thing. Had an antelope this fall that I swear jumped either the arrow noise or the sight of the arrow incoming.

Put the MeanV2 string suppresser on and only a G5 metapeep and string loop on the string. The deer haven't heard the bow!

I have an STS on a Ross 337. At first I had leeches on and the bow was quiet but the leeches eventually died. Then I tried the diamond shaped silencers and the bow was a bit louder. I took them off and put on cat whiskers and the bow is very quiet now.

Whiskers make a difference to my ears.

Although most guys do away with the string silencers, I use the Bowjax String Jax on mine and slide them to the speed nocks. Speed lose is virtually nothing and it makes my bow a little quieter.
Quieter is always Good!
Here's a pic of one in HD Hardwoods on a Bowtech Equalizer.
