Question for Len?
Len in Maryland, on one of your posts you said that you tested the GKF Mirage rest? What did you think about it? Would it be a good, tough rest for hunting?

RE: Question for Len?
Jonathan: I did an extensive evaluation of the Mirage and, to be kind, found it to be somewhat inferior to many of the other similar products on the market. I tried to do a search here but it won't go back any more than 30 days. If I can find some of my data on other forums, I'll copy it and post it here.
"Would it be a good, tough rest for hunting?" IMPO, NO. |
RE: Question for Len?
:) Len, I still like and apreciate your open and honest style. To bad there are not more like you.

RE: Question for Len?
I worked with a mirage for longer than I would have given any other rest trying to tune it , because I've had such good luck with their premeir rest in the past , which are of superb quality . Anyway I could not get it to tune It did not drop fast enough and right before I took it of my bow the thing blew apart and flew off of my bow ! The spring and adjustment arm on the side are flimsy and they will not work on a hoyt bridged riser bow GKF fails to tell you that . All in all I think it was a complete failure for them , makes me hesitate to give the power drop evan a chance or consideration .If you want a fall away rest the muzzy zerro effect and trophy taker rest both are far superior designs and I have yet to have problems with either , they preform as advertised { muzzy tells you their rest will not work on some short brace height bows } Now someone will get on here and say I installed it incorectly but I'm telling you thats not the case .
We all have different oppinions , if we did'nt the world would be a BORING place |
